A wave

I

A pencil of light

Light is one. A prism teaches it otherwise. A single white ray enters the glass and leaves, fanned, as seven colours. The glass does no work; it only refuses to let the colours travel at the same speed.

$PRISM is a Uniswap-V4 hook built around that same refusal. It sits between trader and pool, takes each swap, and writes back a fanned record — one ray of evidence for every doubling of size.

Every swap is white light entering glass.

Below 0.01 ETH nothing happens. The pool behaves as usual. Above that threshold the hook mints a single ERC-721 receipt to your address, and the trade is filed in the register.

II

Seven rays

The number of rays drawn on your receipt doubles with the size of the trade. A 0.01-ETH swap mints a one-ray receipt. A 0.02-ETH swap, two. By 0.64 ETH the receipt fans out into all seven.

0.01 ETH1 ray
━━0.02 ETH2 rays
━━━0.04 ETH3 rays
━━━━0.08 ETH4 rays
━━━━━0.16 ETH5 rays
━━━━━━0.32 ETH6 rays
━━━━━━━0.64 ETH7 rays

The image lives entirely on chain — a triangular prism, an incoming white line, the colour fan. No off-chain art, no servers, nothing to forget about you.

III

The ladder

Refractions accumulate. The contract counts every one against your address. Cross a threshold and the ladder advances you a step. There are seven steps in total, painted in their own colour:

red · orange · yellow
green · blue · indigo · violet

Each step raises the rebate the hook pays back on every refraction — from a tenth of a percent in the red, to seven-tenths in the violet. The payment is in $PRISM and lands the same transaction. The pool for it holds five thousand tokens, set aside at deploy and never refilled.

When the pool is dry the colours remain, but the gold stops.
IV

The loop

A second, older mechanic is carried over from the base contract — lending without slippage against the bonding curve. One hundred virtual bands of thirty ETH each, forty percent LTV. The function loop(collat, N) chains borrow, swap, and re-lock into a single atomic step.

Six iterations is the cap. The geometric series, with a borrow ratio of four-tenths, converges below 1.667× regardless of how many more times you would call it. Each iteration pays a flat fifty $PRISM out of a second pool, capped at five thousand, and mints a separate Position NFT as a memento.

V

Honest limits

What follows is the list of things the hook cannot do, and the things it deliberately does not try to do.

  • a.Attribution uses tx.origin. Smart-contract routers that don't forward will still credit the end-user; adversarial ones could spoof you. Do not approve unknown contracts.
  • b.The rebate pool is finite. Five thousand $PRISM. After it is empty, refractions still mint receipts and lift tiers, but no token leaves the hook.
  • c.There is no governance. No upgrade path. No proxy. The code on deploy is the code forever.
  • d.All three pools — bonus, rebate, lending — are pre-funded from supply. Nothing is minted later. Nothing can be.
